IFRANE : the "Little Switzerland"


Ifrane sits on one of the most privileged sites in one of the most attractive regions of Morocco: the heart of the Middle Atlas. Sources of water are abundant and the natural landscapes are at the rendezvous. Exceptional natural assets to the point of describing it as the "Little Switzerland".
If you are talking about Ifrane we speak of snow, and if by chance your visit is in winter, you shouldnot miss a ski session at one of the stations available on site, namely Michlifen Station and Jbel HabriStation which are at 2000 meters of altitude offering several tracks of unevenness.

Original name Ourti (garden in Amazigh), Ifrane is the county seat of the province of Ifrane located at the heart of the Atlas mountain with a surface area of 3573 km² , and which, according to the latest administrative division, is part of the Meknes-Tafilalt region. It’s considered as one of the biggest water reserves in the Kingdom thanks to its numerous natural sites. The province of Ifrane is the ideal place for winter tourism.

Refuge waterfall :

There are waterfalls of extraordinary beauty, located 7 kilometers from the town of Irane on 
the road to Zaouia Abdesslame. It is recommended to visit this site just after the rainy 
periods, which gives it an additional charm.
It is a verdant space, full of snow in winter or you can make your  picnics, and have moments 
of rest in the heart of the natural beauty of the Middle Atlas.

National Park of Ifrane :


The national park of Ifrane was created in 2004 on an area of ​​51,800 ha. It extends over the western 
portion of the Central Middle Atlas, in the territories of the provinces of Ifrane and Boulmane. It is 
distinguished by its biological and ecological values, its forest richness and the exceptional beauty of
 its landscapes. At the level of this park, the cultural heritage merges with the natural heritage, which
 gives the site great potential for ecotourism. Similarly, snow and winter sports facilities in Michlifen 
are additional assets attracting many tourists in winter. Thus, this protected area is attractive 
during the four seasons.

Lake Aoua :



Lake Daït Aoua (Dayet Aoua) is the most famous lake of Morocco, it is located 15 kilometers from Ifrane on an altitude of 1460 meters. You can easily reach it via the national road 24 linking Ifrane to Fez. With an area of ​​140 Ha, and a depth of a few meters (5 meters max) The lake offers an extraordinary natural landscape .

It is an excellent place to visit, make your picnic and relax in front of the charm of the lake, and do not miss the sunset which will offer you an exceptional panorama during the four seasons.

Michlifen Ski Station :

At 2000 meters altitude and 17 kilometers from Ifrani is located the Michlifen station which is considered the
second largest ski resort after Oukaimeden, a blue sky of a rare purity, a mountain covered with a White ornament,
magnificent cedars bending under the weight of snowflakes.
A decoration worthy of the winter resorts in Europe. Covered with snow from mid-November to the end of March each year, with a temperature that can reach -30 ° C in the middle of winter. It is surrounded by a cedar treewhich can be heard as far as Khenifra. It is the most frequented ski resort by means of Atlas. And the site, breathtaking beauty, continues to attract lovers of the great outdoors and winter sports enthusiasts since the opening of the ski resort in 1950. In Michlifen everyone will find the ski equipment for all sizes and categories and with very reasonable prices: from 20 MAD (0.2 €) for the sledges, and 50 MAD (0.5 €) for Skis with shoes and sticks, and 100 MAD (10€) of last generation parabolic skis as you can have Snow Board at 150 MAD (15€). The rental period is unlimited for the whole day and the people are simple and very welcoming.
Like a large natural circus, the resort has very gentle slopes favorable to beginners' trials and more or less steep slopes for experienced skiers.

Ouarzazate


This is a city from the bowels of the earth in the desert in the south of the Kingdom, with a variety of decorations as elusive qu'époustouflants. Burning sand, snow-capped peaks, lush oases and palm groves, haughty ksours, fortified villages and lavish kasbah, this is the charm of an idyllic town in another millennium. Casbah of Taourirt


The residence was once a Pasha of Marrakech (XIX) and is considered one of the most beautiful in
Morocco. Its buildings are made of mud flats rich, simple houses and crenellated towers profusely decorated. You can visit the old Glaoui apartments where you can admire the dining room and bedroom of the favorite who kept their decoration painted stucco ceilings and cedar wood.

Draa Valley
